WIP Amnesty Day plus Stuff
Feb. 6th, 2004 10:01 pmMleh, my paid account expires tomorrow. Alas. My love of icons is mighty, but I don't feel it necessary at this point to renew. I actually thought I had longer. Oh well.
I have a mighty sense of accomplishment - I uploaded my tutorial web page to my college web space through Dreamweaver. I followed the printed instructions from class, mind you, but still. Feeling pretty capable. I also did a design layout for my current pathetic little site. When I get it done, then I will use the money I save from my paid LJ account to buy myself a domain and web hosting. Well, that and part of my income tax return ;)
This wants to be a plot bunny. Albania, after all, is somewhere I've written before... I saw it on Neil Gaiman's blog, and he's right. It's fascinating.
1. What was your favorite monent during your trip to France?
2. How did you happen into the HP fandom?
3. What is your favorite dessert of all time?
4. What is your favorite era of historical costume?
5. Which literary character is most you?
WIP amnesty day - this is a great idea. Poor "Endings and Beginnings" - it has languished for so long. I just got off track writing "Strange and Wondrous", and then with OotP, Snape's character took such a non-fanon turn that it's been hard to get back into it. Here is the sad, short beginning of
The days had passed in dread and waiting as winter faded into a hollow spring. Hermione jumped at small noises frequently, and as she walked through the corridors of Hogwarts, she envied the carefree students who passed her, oblivious of the doom that would inevitably fall over them all at any moment.
Sigh. Actually this little reminder of the story might get me moving creatively again. I would like to one day finish the series, but I wonder if I've moved on. Especially if my original idea can move from my brain to a text document.
