Thank you to jennyo for the new icon - I don't really have a program that makes the icon thingies the right size so she helped out. Yes, that's me in my younger days wearing an outfit stolen from my high school costume department. Good times, good times.

Speaking of the '80's, I saw mustangsally78 had a list of the many concerts she's seen. So I'm trying to think of the ones I've seen. I started kinda late - my first concert wasn't till I was 14, and it was Duran Duran. Me, a group of about 12 other girls, and two very kind and brave parents took us in 1984. My husband to be was actually at the concert as well - of course we didn't know each other yet, but still kinda cool.
So let's see, the others I've seen:

Tori (3 times once this Thursday rolls around)

Beck/Flaming Lips

I probably missed a couple, but that's mostly it. We like to see a concert a year.

SO I've decided to go spoiler free for Buffy. Deleted my bookmarks to spoiler sites and everything. The reason? I have read one too many distressing spoilers. Okay, according to Spoiler Slayer Dawn is identified as a Slayer in Training. NOOOOOOO! Also, Giles does come back, but there is indication that he might not be Giles - he might be the 1st impersonating Giles. Which means, since the 1st has only been assuming form of those who are dead or have been dead... well, you can see why I'm distressed. So no more of that bad crack for me.

Just make stuff up to try to scare the hoi polloi. From what I understand, the show *wants* you to think that Giles is being impersonated by the First Evil, the same way that we were supposed to think that Spike was feeding again.

I, for one, find the idea of Dawn training as a Slayer kind of nice. Gives her something to do instead of whining. I wonder if there's ever been Slayer Sisters before.

You're right, I'm sure, but still... Yeah, I guess the Dawn thing isn't too heinous. I'm just worried about a possible Dawn the Vampire Slayer spin off. Blech.

But it's been awhile since I watched completely unspoiled, so I'll see what it's like. then I'll go back to reading the wildfeeds after an episode or two ;)

The whole Dawn-as-slayer thing makes sense to me, though, 'cause remember the reason "The Gift" worked was because Dawn was "made from" Buffy: they had the same blood, etc.

Kill of Giles, though? Eep.
