Eeee hee hee hee
Oct. 19th, 2003 08:59 pmThat was a witch's cackle by the way. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. But the past year I lost the spirit, and I was worried I wouldn't get it this year either. Never fear, I've forced myself to decorate and to save graphics to make Halloween cards, and amongst the spooky glowing pumpkins and silly black cats and scary disappearing ghosts, I've found it. Hurray! Now if it will just get colder - it's been in the freakin' 80's today. That just ain't right.
Denver folks: we have to do something spooky. What sayest thou,
slytherincess and
debellatrix - up for joining some crazy folks for haunted house goodness at some point?
Here is one of the websites that helped me feel that cackle bubble right up through my worried heart http://www.victorianhalloween.com
Also, it was Wonderful Roommates birthday this weekend. She got a pasta machine - the kind where you thread the pasta dough through by hand. She made pasta tonight! It was so good. Snorri felt like getting out of the house for the first time in a few days, so we all went to the grocery store (the one I had the melt down at last weekend - and which was announced this week is closing. Denver folks, I am SO sad the Cub Foods are all closing. So sad.) I made the dish - Mushrooms Baton Rouge, one of my signature dishes, and one of the few things I can make better than Snorri. And then W.R. made this delicious pasta - and it didn't even take long. It was a fine meal, let me tell you.
And finally, I had to miss a very fun party this weekend at
pteropod and
dirk_the_daring's home, but I did in fact get project finished. Now I just have to work on the other one. Next time, guys, I promise.
Booooooooo!
