slytherincess at the Tattered Cover Frenzied Mob of Book Buying. She is very nice and also very smart, as she struck a claim on a spot way in the front of the line. This is something for which I will be eternally grateful ;) It was sooooo crowded. So crowded. Which is so cool. Many people dressed up. silveraspen looked amazing as Narcissa - and everyone who spoke to her was asked (to their confusion or delight) if they's seen her son Draco. It was kinda scary how much in character she was. Wonderful Roommate was also amazing in her McGonagall outfit - she was actually asked to have a picture or two taken with her and the Sorting hat. Snorri was my Muggle husband who bought a book on DNA that he was very excited about. How dare he buy a book non-HP related! We made an attempt to get some Butterbeer or Polyjuice Potion from the espresso bar. The lines were so long we gave up. So we mostly stood together chatting and squeeing. Well, not Snorri, he was definitely not squeeing at any point.
I'm glad I got the book early, but I am thinking next time I might just go to Walmart at 12:01. It certainly was an experience to experience though.
