Okay, it's not quite as mean as I thought it was going to be.
I am going to be in a wedding at the end of June in which I'll wear a beautiful strapless dress (well, it has little spaghetti straps, but you know what I mean). I have a little magic wand tattoo on my left shoulder; it's usually covered by my sleeves, but obviously there are no sleeves to dress.
Has anyone had experiences with tattoo cover ups? I want to find a reliable product, since this is such a special day. The bride said I should just not worry, but I feel it's a wee bit tacky to flaunt my tatt in such an elegant dress.

Date: 2007-05-18 01:59 pm (UTC)You can use the primer to even out your skin, but I think if you hydrate and make sure that you've previously put lotion on the area, then you shouldn't have too many problems. Most of our performers never bother with primers.
My friend gave me the following instructions: You need to apply a patch first. (I think the foundation or some of the liquid cover ups will work, like this one: http://www.colortration.com/). Check how it matches your skin tone and whether or not the tattoo is visible in any places. Then add some foundation. She said if you're fair skinned to try something a little orangey so that it will even out the colour. Then you can powder and set.
Pity you won't be around here, because she was asking if you just wanted her to do it for you...I laughed. She's so nice...
Good luck!
