God, it's April already??? How'd that happen???

Okay, Adiva is way ahead of me, so I don't think I need to cut this. Unless it gets too long.

I am in the last few chapters of The Great Hunt. (Nynaeve and Elayne have made it to Falme.)

Nynaeve's trial to become an Accepted was heart-breaking.
Selene annoys the hell out of me. I hate that Rand is too young to realize how the wool is being pulled over his eyes.
I hate Lindrian even more. So she's a Darkfriend, too? I thought that was too obvious, or I'd have called her one way back when she first appeared.
Cairhien and its Slytherin-ity makes my head hurt.
Poor Thom.
Loial was adorable in Stedding Tsofu. He's an Ogier hottie, apparently.
Not enough Moiraine and Lan!
The Seanchan are terrifying and the concept of domane makes me a little sick to my stomach. Please let there be fiery death soon to Seanchan? Please?
Poor Egwene... I am terrified for her.

Cairhien's nobility are all Slytherin.

It explains just a bit about Moiraine, I feel.

Many of the Darkfriends, alas, are incredibly annoying. Also obvious. Not all of them, of course, and some of the obvious ones are red herrings. But nonetheless, a lot of them make me headdesk.

is this your first time reading the wheel series? **squee** my favourite, from way back. currently waiting for the next book to come out... they take forever. there's also a prequel, called "winter's heart", i think... aspen will know... my books are all packed up since i redid the floors! sorry, the seanchan are needed, so here to stay!

Winter's Heart is book...nine? "New Spring" is the prequel, IIRC.

It's been years since I read them. I need to reread, but doubt I'll be able to find the time with all the backlog in my reading list.
