I had the HR "interview" at work today - it was an overview of benefits instead of an actual interview. I received an email that I am being seriously considered and my references are being checked. I should know by next week.

*hyperventilates*

Although... I'm going to miss the classroom. Even today with the children either screaming at the tops of their lungs (morning class, which has 11 boys and 6 girls) or crying and having fits (afternoon class is on all day, everyday PMS) I will miss the kids. Today my little angry boy who loves HP had the look of glaritude. I pulled him away from the crowd, snuggled him on my lap, and said, "Hey J. what's wrong, sweetie?" He was stiff in my arms a moment before sighing and just melting into my hug. I mean, when you can make a child feel happier and comforted, that's an amazing thing.

But I'm also very tired and ready for something different that pays more. So...

I think I might have a new job. Prepare for more wibbling ahead. :P

I really can say I know how you feel in this one. When I chose to leave the classroom, and return to school to go a totally different direction, I didn't miss the bureaucracy crap, my boss, the system, the crappy pay or anything. But damn I missed the kids. Even the kids that stressed me to the limits. And you know what, sometimes I still do. But I've kinda decided that I'm going to education route with computers - because I really did go from one nonprofit to another -makes me figure I've landed where I'm needed - and you my dear will get this job and go on to do great things, and still make a difference in the lives of people, just in a different way.

Don't worry, you can cuddle my kid in just a few months, and still have a real job with an income and intelligent people to have converstations with at work!
