So I was sick and tired all day Saturday, and Sunday I dragged myself out of the house for Christmas tree shopping with
silveraspen,
anamazonruns, and Mr. Anamazonruns. This was a good thing. I do not buy real trees due to allergies and laziness, but it was lovely to help people pick them out. I also helped Aspen decorate hers, so yay! I now have holiday spirit.
This is in large part to actually doing the project reports I'd been putting off for days. I think I might be done with everything now. This makes me... beyond happy. I am nearly blissful. Huzzah! I have so much fic I want to write! And books! I can read books again for a small space of time. *smiles in ecstasy*
The other factor that jump-started my holiday glee? We are decorating our tree in a Harry Potter theme. I am such a geek, but this really brings me much needed joy. So right now, the Sorting Hat is the tree topper, one side of the tree has little green and silver ball ornaments, and the other side is red and gold. We have action figures, pictures of characters, little green pipe cleaner snakes... *giggles* Such a geek. But the tree is cool. Pictures will be forthcoming - it's not quite done yet.
*rolls eyes at overly dramatic self* I don't know what the Friday night meltdown was all about. No, wait, I do. On my RPG, there are so many characters and plots I'd like to be a part of, but I simply do not have time. Nor should I. I love playing, and I mean, really love it, but I have a real life that is quite nice, too. I can't be on-line all the time, and I don't want to be. My character has a solid set of characters to play with, and I have a brilliant time interacting with both the characters and the muns. That's really all I need. So yeah, sorry about the wibbles of doom regarding that whole thing. *grins sheepishly*
I'm still tired, but GLEE! Only this week and next week and then two blessed weeks off.... I need this break like I've never needed one before.
