Nov. 15th, 2004 10:25 pmOof. What a day.
And yet, I lived through it!
I got a new kid, disturbed in many ways, made out to be a monster, who turned out to be just an angry, easily over-stimulated foster kid who needs someone to tell him he's a good boy and a lovable boy, just as I figured. He'll still be tough, but not a monster.
Is there any wonder I'm drawn to the evil, yet redeemable, characters? I see in daily real life how very much the words "I love you, you're a good boy/girl" truly make a difference in children's lives. Especially the ones who've been told they're worthless and bad from day one. So sad. So infuriating. Love isn't all you need, but it's such a good foundation for everything else. I do what I can, but dude, there's just one of me... I feel like a teensy tiny drop in a dark, chaotic ocean most of the time.
Which is why I am so invested in fandom as an escape!
(Now how's that for a segue way?)
I adore Neverwhere. I adore Door. I have an RPG character (one of those evil yet redeemable types) who is shipped with her. Please, no relationships for Door. They make my head breaky now.
As for the other story suggestions, I am up for just about anything, but I'm not overly fond of slash. I hope you have lots of fun writing the story!
miraielle!!! LOOK!!!! But many arms for many wibbles might be the way to go - what do you think? *giggles*
