Snorri announced earlier this week that he actually wanted to go somewhere this weekend. Since he is a virtual recluse, this is a big deal. So today we went to the Florissant Fossil Beds national monument which is east of Colorado Springs and over the Continental Divide. It was an easy drive (mostly) and we had a nice 1 mile hike looking at petrified sequoia trees and a really cool 1878 homestead. He's exhausted now and has retreated to the bedroom to stretch his achy feet and legs (and watch two baseball games at the same time), but I'm glad we got out for a day.

I am now downloading all of daegaer's Good Omens fic and a goodly amount of Remus/Sirius fic to read. I love summer. Even though I am actually still "working" for two more weeks, heh. Yeah, working on reading as much fic as humanly possible!

Yay! Snorri fun! Glad you guys did something cool. Spouse has been trying to get me to actually look at those fossil beds myself, rather than just drive on by as is my wont. :-)
