Gratuitous post, now with fic recs
May. 31st, 2004 09:15 pmA picture of me on my birthday, complete with newly dyed, lighter hair. I am standing in front of our new Tolkien shelf complete with most of our Tolkien books and all of my new figurines.
I have been on a fic splurge this weekend, and I have the following recs from
anniesj's The Day After Tomorrow challenge. Go read them. If you're at work, it's okay - they are short. Mostly. And you know you want to (I'm looking at you,
silveraspen. Muahahaha.
Goodnight Moon by
yahtzee63. It's Joan of Arcadia. If you've never watched the show, it doesn't matter. I never had either, and I still cried. If you don't read any other of these stories, go read this one.
This Is the Way One World Ends by
kiltsandlollies. LOTRips, Billy/Dom. Very sad, but very well written.
Down to the Earth with a Fury by
daegaer. Good Omens. I love how she writes Crowley and Aziraphale.
The Beginning of the End by
madwritings. Sandman. This one features Hob Gadling and Mad Hettie. You just can't go wrong with those two.
Watch It Crumbleby
phoenix_san. Angel. An incrdible Ilyria POV story.
Wings Across the Cancelled Skies"> by
doyle_sb4. Angel. Another good Angel story, complete with Barry Manilow reference. This one gave me a nice shiver at the end.
So yeah, fun reading. And I did some writing as well, so go me. Wah, want more vacation!
