So being the responsible fangirl, I wrote an email into Starfest, the local yearly scifi convention here through which I've gotten to meet Michael Rosenbaum and Sean Astin and have a great deal of good geeky fun. I mentioned how wonderful it would be if Dominic Monaghan and/or Billy Boyd would be invited.
I got this response today:
Hi Vivien: Thank you so much for your comments. In fact, we did invite them to attend this last show, but their schedules didn't permit it. We will keep them in mind for 2005 and maybe we will get lucky.
Happy birthday to me! If either of them showed up for 2005, I swear to the Fandom Gods, I will be a puddle of goo. Of ecstatic, smiling goo. And I will have pictures without my head pasted on, yay.
