You know how squawky I've been in the past about the LotR movies? You should hear Wonderful Roommate screaming at the Wrinkle in Time movie. It makes me look like an all-forgiving goddess of nice ;)

Seriously though, where are Meg's glasses? Dude, that was one of the reasons I loved her so much back in the day. Sigh...

Well, I think I'll be getting out my L'Engle books soon for a reread. We don't need no stinkin' movies ;)

No. I mean, it wasn't terrible, really, but it wasn't brilliant either. It's been a long time since I read WiT, but it was one of my first "magical experiences" reading where I totally got the characters and wanted so to be part of their world. Pre-Tolkien, you see ;)

But that was not my Meg, at all, nor my Charles Wallace, though Calvin was pretty close (if his hair had been red). And I think that was the main area that would have made me enjoy it more.

Heh, well it's not quite as bad as the first watching of Two Towers, but it is lacking in some crucial elements. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't right, either.

It was pretty crap, wasn't it? I liked Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who okay, but... Most of the rest of it was a wash.
