Ooh, why had I never discovered this before? Photobucket is my new friend.

Because I've never put up their pictures, here are my kitties.

She's sitting in the sun that blasts down on the aquarium in the mornings. Which is why it's covered by the chic towel.

She is mauling her catnip vet.

So the game went great last night, thanks to

dirk_t_daring. I got a little frustrated since as a Hobbit scout, I mostly sneak about trying to get in good positions to do something - anything - but I did actually use my crossbow to good effect twice. I really like the game though, because I'm play acting with funny friends who make it so much more amusing. It's a busy month coming up for everyone, so I'm not sure when we'll be able to play again.

I read The Bridge to Terebithia by Katherine Paterson the other day, and bawled my eyes out. Like I always did whenever I read it. That was a powerful book for me, when I was a little girl - it spoke to me on many levels, and still does. The original story that is incubating in my head owes it much credit, and I hope that when it's finished it will be half as poignant and meaningful.

I also bawled like a baby while reading "Leaf by Niggle" by Tolkien. It's such an autobiographical story, and I think if he had lived in our times, he would have been on the Internet "wasting time" quite a bit. I hope he found his own Middle Earth waiting for him when he died. That's my version of heaven, a place where all your favorite dreams are real.
