Stuff. Cos dude, it's Friday, and I took a nap.

Glenn Quinn of Angel and Roseanne fame was exactly one day older than me. Scary.

P and I watched this rather poorly done docu on the Learning Channel on the mysterious skulls of the Nazca. They are all elongated and misshapen. It looked really cool until the nutsos started going on about aliens and alien hybrids. But hubby and I are saying - um, hello, head wrappings. Which is what the show ended up declaring at the very end. I am not even sure why we watched all of it - it was like a train wreck you couldn't avert your eyes from. Plus we wanted to be validated for our hoity toity anthropological smarts. Then we watched the ever yummy Jeff Corwin. Who is really hot and nerdy in a cute way. My kinda man!

Several people had it, but I think it started with Jenna and I borrowed it from Aspen.

What does your first, middle, and last name mean? What is the nationality of your names? Do you know why your parents named you that? Do you like your name? If you have kids, what did you name them? Why? If you don't have kids, what do you want to name them? Why?

Michelle: Blah blah boring feminine form of Michael boring blahdy blah "gift of God" My Dad's name is Michael.

Ann: Again, boring, blah, blah. I don't even know what it means besides boring. From my Mom's name, Joann.

Thompson: Son o' Thom. Who knows from whence it comes. Some Scottish, Irish, or English line.

Boyer: You know, I have no idea. I haven't really done much research into my married name. We have genealogy for it, and it appears to be more German than French.

My mom separated from my dad while pregnant - have no idea why I am named for him. I think my grandma guilted her into it. Mom was going to name me Melora, after a character in the poem "John Brown's Body". How cool would that have been? Melora... I wouldn't have had to made up my Vivien persona, cos I woulda had a cool name already. If I had been a boy, my name would have been Jonathan Alexander.

Kid names: These have evolved from my childhood fascination with names. I read baby name books for fun at a very young age. At one point I planned on having 12 girl children just so I could festoon them with names such as Victoria, Anastasia, and Iguana (don't ask - as a 6 yr. old it sounded good at the time). Then I hit my "Celtic names only" phase. I have mellowed in that regard.

For girls:
Claire Helena( Claire after a beloved college professor - we met in her Children's Theater program -and Helena after Paul's Mom and my aunt)
Anna Celeste (Anna is so much cooler than Ann for some reason, and it's so my mom doesn't pout. Celeste, just cos I like it.)
Rhiannon is also a name we kicked around for awhile.

For boys:
Ian Lennon (Ian - Scottish version of John, and Lennon for John Lennon)
I like the name Brady, as well, and it is a family name.
