Dec. 11th, 2003 10:05 pmI've seen this one a few people's LJ's and it is actually very interesting, so I will give it a try.
I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

Date: 2003-12-11 09:18 pm (UTC)*waves hello* I have a passion for instrumental film soundtracks. Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Danny Elfman, Howard Shore...even John Williams, most of the time. It's reached the point where I can nearly always identify a famous composer just by the sound of the incidental music of a film.
'All right, it's not terribly heavy on the French horns, so that rules out Hans Zimmer...sounds more like James Horner with the "oohs" in the background....' ^_^

Date: 2003-12-11 09:55 pm (UTC)I have a habit of doing incredibly silly things and being very lucky in the bargain. For example, I once left a pub with my friend R. to go to a party with 13 guys we didn't know.
*facepalm*
(Happy ending, btw, but see what I mean about luck?)

Date: 2003-12-12 09:09 am (UTC)I used to eat peanut butter and sugar sandwiches when I was little.
I tried one about four years ago just to lose the nostalgiac feelings I had toward them, but it backfired because I didn't find it to be a completely abhorrent culinary experience.
heh
