Hello to everyone who is browsing for new friends or subscribing to me!

I tend to filter non-fannish posts, but as you can see, I do a yearly Halloween countdown that is open to all.

A little about me:

• The X-Files was my first Internet fandom, since I didn't have a computer or Internet until 1998. I made friends through the Order of the Blessed St. Scully the Enigmatic (OBSSE) who I still have today.  My next fandom was Harry Potter, but I was on the sidelines in a Yahoo ship listserv (When I Kissed the Teacher? WIKTT... was that it?)  Then I fell into RP and never came out.
• I've written fanfic for... wow. Eleven years now. HP, Buffy, Neverwhere, Good Omens, and various Yuletide fandoms are my worlds of choice.
• I've written less fanfic and more RP since 2004.  My characters include Tom Riddle (many AU versions), Bela Talbot -Supernatural, Gilderoy Lockhart - HP, Susan Pevensie - Chronicles of Narnia, Ingress - Neverwhere (And Valdemar... Milliways Bar makes for crossovers), numerous Sunnydale AU OCs whom I love dearly, and others.
• I watch a lot and read a lot and like a lot, but I don't participate in fandom, per se. I'd love to discuss things like Parks and Rec and Revenge and New Girl and fun shows like those. I'd love to discuss things, period. I've missed the fannish interaction on my blog.
• I'm one of those fat cat gubberment employees (/eyeroll) and I don't talk about my job without filtering, since, well, it doesn't seem wise. I was a preschool or kindergarten teacher for twelve years and an instructional designer (corporate training and e-learning) for three, and my current work is in the field of early childhood education.
• I'm in transition right now. Getting a divorce after 20 years, living with a dear friend who's taken me in for a while, no kitties, no children. I'm definitely going through a rough time, but I have the most amazing friends and family supporting me. It is not all doom and gloom in Viv Land.
• I do have a Tumblr, and I love pretty pictures. I'm shelikespretties over there.
• I want to do art. Mixed media collage. It's harder to get started on than my Yuletide fic.
• I plan to post and to comment more. It is my "new me" resolution.
