Well, I got busy there. I did finish my homework that I was feverishly working on before my friends came to town. Now if the classmate I'm collaborating with will get her portion of the presentation in, that would be ducky. Grr.
My shoulder/back had been killing me. Snorri is hopeless with back rubs, so no help there. I need to start doing Nautilus eqipment again. Maybe I can get to the gym at my college this week. I wish I could go for a massage, but alas, the budget will not bear it. I've decided that I am going to a day long fancy schmancy spa treatment when I finish my graduate degree. I've never gotten to do that, and I always have wanted to. You know, get the manicure, pedicure, facial, massage.... sigh, sounds dreamy.
So my friends are here. We walked around downtown Denver yesterdaqy afternoon and then we all went to Dave and Busters, which they really really enjoyed. A drunk foursome was hogging the bowling game, but I smiled them out of the way so Beth and I could play. Today we're going to go out and about shopping and then scrunch them into our apartment for dinner and the Emmys tonight. And then tomorrow - Eddie Izzard!!! We're trying to figure out where he might go downtown that we might be able to run into him.
I'm glad I'm so busy cos, waaaaah, all my friends are in Hawaii! The entire Tuesday Night Girls Club, plus spouses and two other good friends. It's a big trip that has been planned for nearly a year on the occaision of a friend's 40th birthday. I am sad they're all gone, but thankfully, Hawaii isn't on my list of Must Go places. I know it's lovely, but my mom, grandma, and aunt went a few years ago (and yes, everyone has been there but me, it seems), and it sounds so expensive as to not be a fun place for Vivien. Now if my friends were in the Bahamas or on a Carribeaan island, I might be gnashing my teeth with envy. But really, I get to see Eddie Izzard. So I'm delighted!
Well, my friends might be up and around by now, so I best get off-line. I'm headed for a busy first part of the week, so I probably won't be back on LJ till Thursday.
