For a while there I totally forgot
Sep. 11th, 2003 07:22 pmWhat day this was, that is. I knew it in the back of my brain, but it wasn't something I thought about all day, really. What was on my mind was that this day is my first anniversary with the company I work for. Two unpleasant associations for this poor day.
Snorri got through without too many nightmares this year. We haven't really discussed it, but I noticed. He might have some after watching some of the specials tonight, but so far so good. For those who don't know, he assisted the Red Cross at the OKC federal building bombing for two days, and every April he usually has troubles. And the last two Septembers have been hard for him. He's always been plagued by sleep problems, but the dreams he has of what he saw are not of the good.
On a much more pleasant note, I was browsing through the children's section today at the library looking for books for next week, and I found Neil Gaiman's Wolves in the Walls. It is a very, very cute book. Those of you with children or access to children should buy it for your little 'uns as a Halloween surprise (it's not that scary).
