Busy weekend!

naomi1029 and I played "What Not To Wear" Saturday - she gave me absolutely fabulous fashion advice and helped me find adorable pants at Foleys for $9. They have a little flair action and are the first pair of lowish waisted pants I've ever owned (and I have an extremely short waist, so I desperately need a lower waist line. I have also been told I may not ever tuck in my shirts again ;) I also found very cute skorts for work for $4 and a cute top also for $4. I love Foleys.
That night the gang got together at Dave and Busters and played. It was much fun.
Today I went over to see my friend and her baby whom I hadn't gotten to see for a few weeks. He is getting so big! And a year ago he was such a little thing.
I was thinking about that - a year ago I was in such misery. I hadn't been offered a job yet and I was so scared. If you guys think I complain a lot now, you shoulda seen me then. But I didn't have an LJ yet. In fact, I think I'm coming up on my one year anniversary.
Snorri and I are coming up on 15 years together Sept. 28. Man oh Man, but that is a long time.
OH! I read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and it was so, so good. Michael Chabon established the characters so well for me - I could hear their voices, see their faces... Joe looks like Adrian Brody, Rosa is Christina Ricci, Sammy is a character actor whose name I can't recall, but whose face I know. I really enjoyed it. And talk about a little fun with RPF. And slash, even ;)
Speaking of slash,eliade has weighed in on the ongoing slash kerfuffle with wisdom and the realization that slash is bad bad bad here. Heh heh heh.
