I was thinking that we were missing some decorations. And sure enough! J. found a whole trunk of exquisite hanging haunts. She is in the kitchen now, assembling a coffin. Graverobber should get his next layer added tomorrow.

I saw a great craft idea to make your own glitter shoes. I think this would be something to keep. You never know when you might need glitter shoes!

I kind of wish I have Halloween party plans, but I am so tired this weekend that it's really okay. I think we'll have a Halloween party spread for Anime Girl on the day itself. I want some Graveyard Dirt, by golly.

I'd like to expand on the glitter shoes. Here is how wardrobe technicians make a pair of Ruby Slippers:

Take a cheap pair of thrift store Mary Janes. With them down with 91% alcohol. Airbrush red with several coats of Stahl paint or other suitable paint, courtesy of your friendly shoe tech. Pass off to the technician who has tons of those red rhinestones, who then applies a coat of red glitter paint to the shoe, then affixes the rhinestones.

Meanwhile another technician is sanding a small leather skirt to distress it; another is stitching together a fluorescent green vinyl corset together; another is helping an artist create a (comic book version) Rogue costume; and I am in a corner, dreading up a wig and curling the dreads.

I love Halloween in a costume shop!

Oh WOW thank you for the professional insight!!! I did an internship in the costume shop one semester, but I was pretty much stuck with hot glue duty. I did learn that damn near anything can be hot glued onto damn near anything else, though!
