I had read a couple of "PB" comparisons, but it was more in the vein of "this is a poor man's 'PB'" than true compliments.
I also read that Claire Danes is too emo, too much like her "My So-Called Life" character. ;-) Agree or disagree?

No, I would say it is not a poor man's anything. It is in the vein of PB, in the most wonderful way (the big difference is it is less sardonic than PB).

I... didn't notice much emo from Claire Danes at all. I mean, there were some angsty moments - it's a love story - but she wasn't emo.
