As some of you may know, I have bit of a problem with Peter Jackson's version of LotR. I feel it leaves stuff out, changes stuff, that really doesn't need to be changed. That said, I'd never seen the animated version from the 70's. I still haven't. And I probably won't, but I've been laughing my fool head off from the scene by scene dissection of it here. http://flyingmoose.org/tolksarc/bakshi/bakshi.htm

And Neverwhere is being released through A&E! That will go on my X-mas list.

Hee! You know, this may explain why I'm willing to give Jackson a hell of a lot of leeway; I have the animated Hobbit and the Return of the King, along with Bakshi's "vision." The Nazgul are scary and I laugh a lot at the rest of it, 'cause it's just that crazily insanely funny.

Did you know that Gandalf conquered evil all by himself at Helm's Deep, and thus Middle-Earth was saved? No? It's true! Bakshi said so! (We'll watch it sometime -- it's too crazed to be insulting, really.)

Neverwhere I'm definitely looking forward to. :)
