So you know the bite-sized morsels I've been dreaming of all week? Oh, they were sooooo yummy. The wedding was a beautiful, elegant partay - it was really giggly and fabulous. Our friends were all together having a wonderful time celebrating the bride and groom - who looked so gorgeous.

And then the trays came around with treats! The chocolate covered strawberries were so incredibly delicious. There was fancy cheese and salmon pinwheel dealies with teensy flowers on top. Yum. The dinner was also just... wow. A mushroom risotto that I may dream of in days to come, grilled salmon, a nummy vegetable medley... Then I pushed the envelope. I tried eating the cake. Which was so incredibly yummy. But it kinda tipped the scales and my body has been in a Rich Food Turmoil State since late last evening. Nothing seriously bad, just wubbly tummy feelings of "dear gods, woman, don't eat anything else ever again."

Seriously though, it might be time for an actual try at a weight loss/exercise program. At least do my yoga video or take a walk everyday. Cos I really don't want to slip up to a size 16.

I might have a change in focus for my masters degree. I might do the adult/corporate version of the Information and Learning Technologies program instead of the K-12. I have been thinking that with teaching I will never have the salary I need to do the simple things I want. Like paying off my bills, owning a home, and actually going on vacations to places other than weddings and family visits. Nearly all of my friends are in the tech field, so I'd have a better networking capabilites in regards to job searches. I think after 10 years of teaching children, I might be ready for a change. Training or something for a more corporate setting would be very different and perhaps difficult, but I'd like to see if I could do it. If not, I always can keep up my certification and go back to teaching. We'll see - I'm not even sure I can switch over to something different.

Ooh, and extra special nice Father's Day prezzie for Snorri (from the cats of course) - we were at one of our cool, funky indie music stores and found a new Cure DVD - Trilogy. They play the entire albums of Pornography, Disintegration, and Bloodflowers live in Berlin. It is absolutely amazing - they sound incredible. The Cure is "our" band - we've gone to see every concert tour together since 1989. Just one concert per tour though ;) And we dressed up as Robert and Mary from the Just Like Heaven video on more than one Halloween. Sigh. Love the Cure. And they're working on a new album - squee!

So let's see, nice wedding, gluttony, career changes, and the Cure - I think that does it.

Indeed. *Sighs* We couldn't afford to even consider me going back to teaching if my husband didn't work fir the Borg. It's getting to be like hobby farming.
