Ug. I feel "coming down with something"-ish, so I go to bed soon. I took a nap when I came home from work and have stocked up on Emergen-c and zinc lozenges, so I am prepared.


But eeeeeeeeeeee! Song of Ice and Fire books to be turned into TV series by HBO. WOW. What a good idea. And can you imagine Dark Tower? If you had a whole season to tell a book's story, it could really work.

Now I wish I had cable! Though I'm both excited, and... given how Hollywood has treated the last few books-to-movies, very afraid.

I'm with the others, torn between excited and terrified by the thought of what that tv series could be.

(I would blame the DiR movie news for my pessimism, but really I'm pretty jaded about tv adaptations in any case. But it could be excellent! Here's hoping it is. :) )

Such a great idea -- though considering other fantasy TV adaptations I'm not super hopeful.
