I am Goth!Mom, hear me roar!

The Bauhaus show was awesome, and having our goddaughter here was even more so. She's become a really cool person. And OMG she was so excited in a very laconic way.

I totally felt like Goth!Mom though. Luckily, there were many Goth!Moms at the show (Julie, I loooooked for you!!!) and I dressed up moderately which was much fun. And this morning? I totally made a well-balanced breakfast for her. It was fun.

Sara spent all day today watching Blackadder. Lots and lot of it. All the while she was uploading most of our Cure and Bauhaus/Peter Murphy collection onto her iPod. So cute.

I would love to have one more day of weekend, however.

We were late, actually. We never in a million years imagined that they would start playing ON TIME. *shakes fist* Foiled again. We were still at the restaurant until 8:00. I didn't dress up at all, as I was feeling shitty from the night before -- I'm lucky I even bathed. >.<

Heh, there were tons of elder!goths there, weren't there? *giggles!*

Oh, I liked it too! I just never imagined that they would play when they said they would -- really, that never happens.

I went to see KMFDM a few weeks ago and good lord . . . The ticket said 8, and I had to wait through two god-awful bands, and then one decent band (but by that time I was like OMG where's KMFDM?) until KMFDM played, and I was so damn tired 3/4 of the way through their set that I left. It was almost midnight. So, it was weird to get home at like 10:20 p.m.

Heh, bastards. I hate opening acts, usually, but that's just painful.

I've seen some good opening acts here and there. Like Faith No More, Bow Wow Wow, the Flaming Lips, etc.

Yeah, actually. Nov 16-Dec 1. We close on the 16th, but will have until Dec 1 to get everything moved over. I can put you on my moving/house filter if you'd like (I forget if you left a comment to that post -- no obligation, of course!)

(Did you see that Nitzer Ebb is reuniting for some gig in Germany for next summer? That would be an awesome tour if they decided to venture out)

You know, we really need to get together one of these years. :P Maybe after your move, or somesuch, we could grab an hour for lunch on a weekend or something.

I did join hp_coloradans, but I'm not sure what I am doing aside from going opening night. My friends and I usually hit the IMAX at I-25 & Colo. But I am open for ideas!
