Jul. 3rd, 2005 11:11 amOMG WORK ALMOST DONE GRAD SCHOOL ALMOST DONE.
So today I have a day of rest.
I got issue #1 of the comic version of Neverwhere and I was very pleased, despite the fact that it's a very different interpretation. It only covered the part up to the Marquis going through LB with Richard, so I will be very interested to see how the House of Arch looks. This interpretation has Door wearing her father's seal ring with a coat of arms on it. I like that addition to canon. And yes, Door is very buxom in her corset and her, er, tattered skirt-ish thing is very "oh look boys reading comic books! Hot chick!" but I can forgive it. She does look pretty cute.
I also got the current issue of Fables and decided to get the previous two to begin reading the new story arc. I'd read all the graphic novels, thereby catching me up. I love this comic. It is amazingly good with how it weaves the stories of disparate fables and fairy tales into this one cool story. So I will be returning to the comic store on a monthly basis for a while.
