Taking a little break
Jun. 13th, 2003 10:12 pmFrom Lovely Bones - a beautifully written book that has thoroughly engrossed me, even though I start crying again every few pages.
I finished Cerulean Sins today - the latest Laurell K. Hamilton smutorama. I actually enjoyed it much better than I thought I would. After Narcissus in Chains, I wasn't sure I was going to keep reading the series - I was getting really tired of the whole tormented Richard plotline. Nicely he is not around too much in this one. I like the vampire hierarchy plots way more than the shape shifter ones. But it was a nice, popcorn munching read. The antithesis, I guess, of Lovely Bones.
I haven't gotten much chance to watch my Buffy season 4 dvd's. I watched all the commentaries, and I started with the first one (I like to watch all of them in sequence). Maybe I'll watch another tonight.
Ooh, I found an on-line course on html coding that I might take through Virtual University, starting June 23rd. It's very affordable, and I really, really want to learn more about how to do web design all by myself. What's isn't as affordable anymore is my graduate classes - a 15% tuition hike is going into effect. So I might not be able to get a shiny laptop afterall. Which is a huge huge bummer. But I will live.
Wedding in the Springs tomorrow of two good friends. Mmm...wedding cake... I love wedding food. Especially h'ors doeurves - I could live my life eating nothing but bite sized morsels.
And go me, I wrote the first page of the sorely neglected next chapter of the Regaining sequel. Once I put something down in text, it seems to make it easier for me to write.
