Man, am I glad it's Friday.
You know, I am really really getting sad that Buffy will be over in just a handful of episodes. I wouldn't want it to die a horrible death like X-Files did.
I feel like my X-Files fandom experience is like being exposed to radioactive waste - how long will the half life be before I can actually watch the X-Files eps I loved back then? Cos they are hopelessly tainted, the tapes gather dust, and I loved that show so much. In fact, I made my bleeding husband who had just sliced a finger to the bone with a shard of broken dish WAIT for me to rush him to the ER while I stopped to set the VCR to tape a season 4 ep that had just started. That was the level of devotion. But with no Scully Marathon to make me watch eps, I don't foresee watching any for a good long while yet. Sad.
But Buffy? Going out well - I have enjoyed this season quite a bit. I am trying to remain spoiler free, but I feel the urge to cave big time. Like maybe in a few minutes.
On the other fandom fronts, I feel so lonely on my non-slash, non-RPS island. Sigh. I have nothing against slash - I really and truly don't. It just rarely floats my boat. And the pairings don't make sense a lot of times to me. Well, except for Clark/Lex. And Remus/Sirius. I am just the weird kid in the corner as usual on this issue.
Wah.
Anyhoo, enough whinging. I will be writing more this weekend on my Tom and Minerva story. I've been too lazy and it's all up there in my head. Even the (gasp) torrid scenes. My very first ever. Welcome to NC17 Land, Ms. PG13 Writer.
