My evil cat woke me up early to be fed this morning. Then she woke me up again when I went back to sleep. However, I got up, got dressed for church, did my grocery shopping, and now am eating breakfast before heading off to spiritual replenishing.

I started The Stand again last night. The flailing over the flu pandemic report (and our woeful unpreparedness) inspired this. I do love that book.

The weather is changing - we might have snow tomorrow. Just rain/snow mix, but it begins. I am also taking Halloween decorations to work to dress up the tall cubicle wall behind my desk area. I shall force myself into cheerfulness, damn it!

I love The Stand, but is would be the last thing I would want to read if I was worried about the big old thinning of the herd they keep predicting.
