I turned in my resignation letter today and had my first official crying jag. I had a huge wave of guilt for not visiting my family back home more often while I had the time off to do so since I will now be going from a school calendar of 8 weeks off per year, to a max of two weeks accrued with the new job. Plus a few kids were exceptionally adorable today, and so I was of the wibble. P. gave me equal parts comfort and "snap out of it" when I called at lunch sniffling, and my cool supervisor was helpful to talk to. I'm feeling much better now, as I'm realizing I'll be able to afford to fly in for three day holiday weekends now. Short visits will be better than no visits.

Tonight at class I had a wonderful surprise - I scored an 86.9% on the mid-term I thought I'd gotten a C in!!!! He's rounding up, so I might just keep a straight A average after all. The study guide for the final is 14 questions long, as opposed to 65 so yay!

In fandom news, I've got nothin'. I haven't even seen a movie lately to talk about. I am assuring myself that the summer movie season is about to kick off and then I will have many things to see soon. I will also have time to read more, in my break between classes. Maybe.

I need to get over to divinsanity soon - I have a character there who will not be frequently played, but whom I'd like to do a little with. She's grandma_spider - the Spider Woman of Navajo myth - and she ought to be a nice character to play.

Massage this Friday, some easy-ish homework to complete that night, and then minor_blue will be in town! Hurray!

I think lots of ppl are in your dilemma of, Wow, this job offers lots of vacay...where I sit at home b/c it does not pay enough for me to actually, you know, vacay during those times. ;-)

Change is an emotional thing. It can be scary and give rise to all kinds of nostalgia and regrets, even if you HATE where you are. But you'll move on to the new thing and it will be great! And yes, three day weekends are terrific, I say, having just done one in Florida. Ahhhh, relaxation.
