Dec. 12th, 2004 10:02 amA few notes on a glorious Sunday morning.
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is wrong in so many ways. We watched it at our OBSSE X-mas party Friday night and... oh my gosh... it has not held up to the test of time. Even having the little gay dentist elf doesn't help. I found it very much more chauvinistic than I recalled, and dude, they pull the Bumble's teeth out. That's just disturbing! I hadn't seen it in quite some time, and I don't think I'll watch it again if I can help it. The Grinch still rules the roost as best animated X-mas show ever.
The Blackadder Christmas special, on the other hand, which P got out to watch last night, is the bestest Xmas show evah. I love it. Prezzies! And Hagrid and Professor Sprout! And Blackadder at his Blackadder-est. Happy. We watched it last night along with the All Creatures Great and Small Christmas special (which mentions Christmas in a passing way and might be the least holiday themed one I've ever seen, but that's okay.) P and I also drank tea throughout and gloried in our Anglophile-ness. It was a lovely evening.
OH! I got nearly all the shopping done yesterday! Now I just have to wrap it and get it ready to mail. *weeps*
I have one large-ish task and one small-ish task and then I will be done with work for the semester. This makes me giddy with joy.
Now, on with Sunday!
