Not dead... yet...
Aug. 26th, 2004 05:29 pmHoo boy! This was one heck of a week.
So my grad school program is in Information and Learning Tech, with an emphasis on Adult Education/Corporate Training, and I had a required management class that was canceled due to low enrollment. Which is not a good sign, but thankfully, I only have a year to go. We had two alternatives - a vague independent study class that had no finalized details or an MBA offering that was similar-ish. By Monday I'd not heard about the i.s. option at all, and I panicked, since class started that night. SO I went to class, which is from 7 to 9:45, thus making it officially Too Late for me. It was going to be a much more intensive class than I am used to, with midterm, final, tons of reading, etc. I was laughing hysterically as I left, thinking "I'm so screwed!!! I liked my 4.0, I really did! WAAAAAH!"
So last night was my cool Flash class in which I found out that the i.s. is a go. I am now enrolled in it, and it meets on Tues. from 5:30 - 8:30, which means that I can still have Girls' Night! Which I wasn't going to be able to do often with two other nights of class a week.
Finally, the child I've been dreading did not come today on his scheduled day. I'm sure he'll be there Monday (and next week is going to be a week from hell, with all the kids scheduled to attend, and all crying and having accidents and spilling milk at the same time!) but a respite was nice.
Long story short, I've been neglecting my Friends list and all my HoE peeps due to exiting to Milliways for stress relief, which is what I've so needed this week. I love you all though. (And yes, I'm addicted, I know it... but it's too much fun and pleasurable to stop)
tigerlilyaj, I missed your picture... I'm sure you are adorable and cute.
minorblue - plans are still on for Labor Day - can't wait to see you!
