Seriously, it was funny -
silveraspen and I had some serious laugh out loud moments. I thought the performances were very good and the story had a great twist at the end. And even though it was played for laughs, it was still pretty damn creepy in an "Oh God, people would so do this if they could get away with it."
My favorite bits included the gay couple, and the one partner's Stepfordization into Gay Republican. Items found in the trash afterwards included his framed picture of Orli and his Viggo t-shirt. I laughed and laughed and laughed. So yeah, it's worth at least matinee price, so go see it.
Two hours ago I said to myself "I'll only be on-line a few minutes to apply for some jobs." Sigh. Oh well, Snorri is enjoying his Kitty Father's Day by watching both golf and baseball, thereby lulling me into a coma.
I think I have a crush on Carrot Ironfoundersson. I just finished reading Men at Arms which I enjoyed immensely. Now on to the next in the Discworld series.
I also have "Wings of Desire" to watch today, which is one of the most beautiful, poetic movies I've ever seen. And so, so much better than "City of Angels" which is a sad, creepy Hollywood copy.

Date: 2004-06-20 07:07 pm (UTC)Bette Midler was fab, and Matthew Broderick always is nice to watch. And Glen Close looked like she was having the campiest fun.
