Dec. 11th, 2003 09:05 pmYou forget what a week with no outside time for young children can be like until winter begins and you have the first of those weeks. This has been a cuh-razy week - more little annoying behavior problems than I could shake a stick at. Not that I use sticks on my children. Not that I'm tempted to use sticks on my children :P
I'm so glad that Fridays are child-free.
I took out my Christmas cards and looked at them. Then I put them down. Maybe they'll get done this weekend.
I also failed miserably at making praline candy. Something weird is happening with the cooling - they harden before they're supposed to according to the recipe. So now I have an ample supply of delicious praline crumble ice cream topping! Which will work fine, but now I'm scared to make divinity.
I am much relieved to have money to finish my Xmas shopping. So this weekend will be it, and then I will begin wrapping. And I am sooo excited cos I found Snorri's birthday present. He turns 40 this New Year's Day, so I wanted to get him something really special. Foley's has a Calphalon 3 1/2 quart pan and 6" knife combo on sale for $49.99. I am going to get the cash from my savings account and buy it this weekend - I know he'll love it. I just hope I can wait till his birthday to give it to him. Hee hee hee! I love finding perfect presents for people I love.
