ZOMG.
I would have been done a lot sooner, but I had to take more breaks. It was SO awful and it wasn't getting better. It was just getting WORSE. When they're called into the second round of the arena, I was like "NOOO OMG MAKE IT STOP".
I was waiting for Peeta to die at any time. I was like "I love this character, and I don't want him to die, so I need to be prepared at any moment." Then in Mockingjay, it got to the point of "OMG MAYBE THEY WILL ALL DIE AND THEN IT WILL BE BETTER FOR ALL OF THEM BECAUSE THIS IS SO FREAKING BLEAK".
I didn't expect the ending, but I was so relieved to get off that roller coaster and leave the characters more-or-less peacefully. The book they decide to create made me cry. CRY.
Don't get me wrong; I really liked the series. It made me think and reflect over many things, including how history teaches nothing, and it really pulled me into the world. Oof, that's some serious dystopia. I now need to read ALL THE FLUFFY THINGS.
