Oh oh oh! I am so glad I checked the Impromptuthon Responses: Fiction post, because I missed your response whenever you posted it to the community. You've created such a rich sense of place, and such a lovely evening's respite for Door and Richard. They are so darling and well-characterized as you've captured them here. Door standing on tiptoe to kiss the side of Richard's mouth! Some other favorite bits:

She waited for the person she’d planned to meet. When she saw him slip from the shadows, wary and watchful and ready to deal with whatever he must, she went to him.
Richard smiled and took her hands. “Hello, Door.”
At the counter, Richard traded a spoon and a small ball of twine for two tickets, and they disappeared into the cinema arm-in-arm. For a few hours, they both forgot the stresses and the difficulties of taking up new places in London Below.
