I found the coolest music at the library the other day - it's a group called the Mediaeval Baebes (but with the A and the E stuck together in that cool way). They sing in Middle English and Latin. Snorri mocked it by saying "Meh, Dead Can Dance do this much better" but I like it. And dude, Middle English! You don't hear that on CD every day. I totally thought of you,
jennyo.
The last three days were agony - the worst "training" I've ever been subjected to. Meaningless, poorly executed, and way too long. But
lillithj will be proud - to keep my brain from atrophying, I started writing down all of the French words and phrases I could remember, and I filled a page. I was pretty excitied! Of course, many of the phrases reflected my mood je suis triste, je deteste, c'est tres difficile but it was a great way to tick off the minutes.
My orientation went well - I found out they have a ride service which will pick you up at your building and take you to your parking lot or bus station at night. This makes me happy.
Monday is going to be insane what with interview and first day of school, but I am looking forward to it. I am so going to get this job! Or not, and I'll be stuck with my shit job (I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic at the same time as being realistice so my hopes aren't shattered)
But ow it's the weekend! Hurrah! And
silveraspen takes the MCAT today and so we will actually see her again after three weeks of reclusive study! Hurrah!
