vivienOld photographs - I've been fascinated by old family pictures since I was very little, and since I was raised going to garages sales, antique stores, flea markets and the like, I began collecting other people's old (abandoned) family pictures. My collection ranges from 1860's to 1930's. I have two ambrotypes (glass plates), a few tintypes, and then various paper processed ones. The ones from 1900's on have beautiful paper frames to enclose them.
Riddlefic - Tom Riddle fanfic. I'll read gen and any pairing, but I prefer Tom/Minerva.
St. Germain is a character created by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, and appears in 19 historical fiction novels of excellence. He's the hero-protagonist, who happens to be an atypical 4,000 year old vampire. The stories have a yummy erotic element and usually have cool political intrigue along with very strong female characters. They are also incredibly well-researched and accurate, and I have actually learned a great deal of historical fact from them. My favorite is Blood Games set during Nero's Rome. Go here for more info. They really are good books. I highly recommend them.
