Dec. 16th, 2006 11:05 amYesterday we opened one of the Amazon boxes awaiting us from my mom-in-law (she said we could open them as they came in, but we're showing some restraint). She sent me Supernatural Season 1! Eeee!
So this morning, I am bonding with J's daughter S. who is 12 and stays with us every other weekend (she is an Internet, anime, Harry Potter fan who has a thing for Draco and vampires - a girl after my own heart). We put in the pilot, and she totally got into it, making plot predictions and squealing at the best parts. As soon as Sam gets back to Stanford she says "Watch - his girlfriend's dead I bet." And of course she was right! So at the end I said "Want to watch the next when?"
She replied, "Well, yeah!" in a wonderful "DUH!"-like tone. I am so proud and pleased.
(And now as we watch 'Wendigo' she's saying "It's a werewolf, right? Or Big Foot? Right?" She's also stated that she likes the "cute one" - Sammy. *giggles* Which makes sense since she's the younger of two sisters.)

OH NNY!!! I GOT YOUR CARD!!!! It's my first overseas friend Xmas card and I LOVE IT SO!!! It will go to my office to keep me cheerful.
