Apr. 28th, 2005 07:50 pmToday was my last day at work. I am no longer a classroom teacher. I thought I would be sadder than I am - I feel nothing but relief and excitement to start my new career Monday.
Saying goodbye to the kids yesterday (today was a training day) was bittersweet. I had my favorites, my Ingress girls especially, and I will miss them. The others? Not so much. I received some lovely going away presents, and my assistant, who I will miss a great deal, gave me this gorgeous shirt, as did my supervisor (she gave me two cute tops to "wear at my new job"). I will miss them, but I took my video camera to school Tues. to get pictures of kids, of me reading a story, of a few other aspects of school I loved.
I am ready for my new job. I am excited!
I also printed out all my graduation information, and I will be taking it down to school tomorrow to get my adviser's signature.
On a more random note, it is snowing here. Snowing. I love the Rockies in spring.
