Trauma

Stupid candy... I tried to make pralines. I followed the directions, watched the candy thermometer closely, and it still didn't work. It got too hard before I could mix the pecans in. So I had to melt it down again, and now it is very hard and crucnhy and praline-esque, but not what I wanted. I'm scared to try fudge, but my roommate is doing the peer pressure thing (she's already made chocolate toffe bark, chocolate covered cherries, and truffles). Bitch ;)

Meanwhile Paul keeps coming in and telling us he gets the living room tv in "_ minutes" for the CU/OU football game. Big ole goofball!

Must.. be... brave... Must... make... foolproof fudge. I'll let you know how I screw that up ;)

Candy... in my nightmares.... from now on

Hey, the fudge looks like fudge! Hurrah! I haven't tasted it ,however, because I never want to put another piece of candy into my mouth. Well, tonight at least. I made little pecan, caramel, and chocolate clusters and the fudge. I am afraid, but I might make divinity tomorrow, which I have made before successfully. Of course, I made pralines successfully, too, but that didn't stop them from becoming burnt sugar candies of doom tonight. I'm soooo tired.

I really need to get caught up on some HP fanfiction. I've been hitting the Buffy stuff pretty hard - need balance.
