vivienToday was my last day at work. I am no longer a classroom teacher. I thought I would be sadder than I am - I feel nothing but relief and excitement to start my new career Monday.
Saying goodbye to the kids yesterday (today was a training day) was bittersweet. I had my favorites, my Ingress girls especially, and I will miss them. The others? Not so much. I received some lovely going away presents, and my assistant, who I will miss a great deal, gave me this gorgeous shirt, as did my supervisor (she gave me two cute tops to "wear at my new job"). I will miss them, but I took my video camera to school Tues. to get pictures of kids, of me reading a story, of a few other aspects of school I loved.
I am ready for my new job. I am excited!
I also printed out all my graduation information, and I will be taking it down to school tomorrow to get my adviser's signature.
On a more random note, it is snowing here. Snowing. I love the Rockies in spring.
Despite the trauma there this week, I am very excited about some plot I have coming up for Tom. I am finding that playing his evil version on Otherways is filling out his character in Milliways - I mean, that aspect is a part of him, and will always be so. I plan to explore that a little bit. He won't be slipping or anything like that, but he is going to be able to embrace some of the negative aspects of himself and channel them in ways that will make sense in his new environment. I love how characters bloom and keep developing richer and richer lives in RP.
