vivienWell, at least the astronauts got to do their missions and see the stars. I am very sad about the loss of Columbia - I remember watching it go up the very first time as a fifth grader enamored by all things space. I was going to be an astronomer/astronaut at the time - this was before I realized one had to be reallly good at math for thic career path.
I feel for NASA and the scientists who work so hard on dwindling budgets. Luckily our natural history museum here is opening a big Space Odyssey addition, and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
silveraspen and I are going to volunteer for the initial opening of the exhibit in June. Also planning on writing congressfolks and endorsing my support of NASA funding.
