X2 - Loved it!
Now while I embrace my girl geek side, my comic background started with Richie Rich and Archie till age ten and then skipped ten years to Sandman and other Vertigo titles. Never read any X-Men, watched the cartoon, nothin'. Enjoyed the first movie quite a bit, but I am a fan of the frachise after the second movie. It was so good.
-I love Magneto. Ok, well, I love all the gleefully happy to be evil villains. But Magneto has some serious depth. And Ian McKellan... Oh Ian. You rock my acting world.
-So is there a little somethin' somethin' going on between Mystique and Magneto? Cos that's fine with me ;)
-Logan/Wolverine is one handsome hunk of an action hero. I really like the character.
-Rogue and Bobby were sweet.
-The real villain Stryker was so awful in a visceral "how dare you do that you fascist bastard" kind of way.
-Nightcrawler - how freakin' cool! I loved the Catholicism in his background and the tattoos for every sin. I want an all Nightcrawler movie.
-The raid on the school was very scary and suspenseful.
-The cat made me laugh very hard. At least it likes mutants.
Oh, and how about the Matrix preview? Cool, eh? The Hulk preview though - much less cool. And we got to see a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen preview. I really want to find that comic.
Libraries make me so happy - I found the Reading Buffy essay book today, and I also checked out my first Terry Pritchard (Wyrd Sisters). Happy happy fantasy/scifi/horror joy joy
